The Land Rover Discovery starts with the SE trim and moves from there to the HSE and HSE luxury trims. The SE starts as a two-row, five-passenger SUV with an optional third row available. The SE trim also has 19-inch wheels, a hands-free liftgate, rear parking sensors, automatic wipers, power front seats, and power mirrors. The base level adds rear a rearview camera as standard, and it has an infotainment system with navigation. A WiFi hotspot is also available, as well as USB ports and a 10-speaker sound system. A sunroof and keyless entry and ignition are also standard at this level. A 3.0-liter V6 with 340 horsepower is standard on all trims. Buyers can also opt for the turbocharged diesel V6 which cranks out 254 horsepower. All models have an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Land Rover is rated at 20 to 22 MPG for the gasoline engine and 23 MPG combined for the diesel-powered version.

The mid-range HSE trim offers even more options. It has 20-inch wheels, leather seats, front parking sensors, and wood interior trim. It has a sliding sunroof, additional storage compartments, power seats, and a digital driver display. There are also USB ports on the second row and an optional premium audio system. The Luxury trim adds a third row of seats, low-range gearing, a two-speed transfer case and more. A Vision Assist package that includes adaptive headlights is also available.
