Nissan’s Rogue is also the only model in its class featuring a semi-autonomous driver assistance system, and one of the few compact SUVs available as a hybrid. If you’re looking for a comfortable and well-equipped compact SUV that’s practical for the daily driver, read on to learn more about the 2018 Nissan Rogue, so you can decide if this is the right vehicle for you!

New for Nissan Rogue in 2018 is the ProPILOT driver assistance system SL option. Using a suite of technologies, the system autonomously steers, accelerates, and brakes the Rogue under specific conditions. Third-row seating isn’t an option anymore; the Nissan Rogue is now only available as a 2-row, 5-passenger SUV. Nissan also introduced A 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system with Android Auto smartphone connectivity and Apple CarPlay as standard features in the Rogue for the first time.

The Nissan Rogue is offered in three trim levels: S, SV, and SL. All models, including the Rogue Hybrid, come with options for either front-wheel drive or the more winter-friendly all-wheel drive and the flexible Divide-n-Hide rear-cargo-storage system. New for the Rogue SV trim level is a motion-activated liftgate, while the SL trim gains lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. The SL also adds the ProPilot Assist driver-assist technology. Designed for highway driving ease, it helps steer the Rogue, keeping it centered in the lane while maintaining a specific following distance behind the vehicle ahead, which is especially helpful for managing stop-and-go traffic.

While the Rogue may have lost its 3rd-row capabilities,it makes up for it with the optional EZ Flex Seating System, which is great for expanding cargo space. With this system, every seat, except the driver’s seat, folds down toward the rear, making it possible to haul items such as a surfboard or ladder. Another optional package for the Rogue is the SV Sun and Sound Touring Package. This Rogue S model upgrade adds features such as a panoramic sunroof, an around-view monitor and navigation. The SL Premium Package adds LED lights and a power panoramic moonroof to the SV, while the SL Platinum Package brings an electronic parking brake, ProPilot autonomous system, Intelligent Cruise Control and 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Standard on SL models and optional on SVs is the Rogue's motion-activated power rear liftgate that responds to a kick under the rear bumper to power the gate open or closed.

The 2018 Nissan Rogue has a 170-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine under the hood, paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission powering the Rogue’s fuel-efficient gasoline/electric hybrid setup. The Rogue Hybrid's fuel economy is a significant improvement over the non-hybrid Rogue. Either configuration can send power to the wheels thanks to the Normal, Sport and Eco modes of Rogue’s Xtronic continuously variable automatic transmission. Nissan’s Rogue Hybrid is able to automatically shut off the engine and instead run on a compact lithium-ion battery to keep the SUV ’s fuel-economy numbers low.

Nissan’s 2018 Rogue is loaded with advanced safety systems, like Rear Cross Traffic Safety Alert and Blind Spot Warning, which are standard on all models. The top trim level, the Rogue SL, benefits from Intelligent Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Intelligent Lane Intervention, and standard Lane Departure Warning.
